19h century elm windsor chair, Oxfordshire area

£320.00

Early to mid 19th century Windsor chair with thick sculpted elm slab seat, H stretcher and a ‘sunburst’ back-splat indicating it likely originated from the Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshire area. Structurally sound, no wobble or loose legs. The top of one leg has worn through the seat, retaining its original wedge- though would have originally been a hidden ‘fox’ joint.
