A fantastic large late 16th century primitive folk art Welsh carved stone corbel featuring the head of a man, likely from a large country house and modelled on the landlord, as was customary at the time. Very good condition for its age, just some area of wear to the nose (as pictured), retaining some traces of old mortar to one side of the head around the hair line.
