A large and very decorative 16th/17th century continental earthenware costrel vessel, reputedly found by a mudlarker in a lake in Belgium some years back and having been in a personal collection since. Obvious wear and degradation to the clay body and the glaze having been submerged in water for so long, but no chips, cracks or restorations. H 36 cm x W 32 cm x D 25 cm.
