A very rare and decorative 11th/12th century Anglo Norman carved stone corbel, smiling man with typical T shaped brow and nose associated with the period, and rare thin 'spaghetti' type arms reaching from beneath the mouth, around the side of the head and linking into the eye brows. Probably originating from the North of England, still showing remnants of mortar to the top, and in good solid condition. H 13 cm x W 12.5 cm x D 23 cm (approx)
