A large early 18th century English leather flask. Wonderful dark patination and extremely rigid, applied loop handles and small original holes to the excess leather on the base where a rope would have been threaded through. What appears to be tar smeared over the stitched areas, likely to improve leak resistance. H 24 cm x W 23 cm x D 8 cm
